BSNL, the state-owned telecom operator, has announced significant changes to its prepaid mobile services portfolio. Effective September 21, 2024, BSNL will introduce two new plans STV-345 and PV-897, while withdrawing several existing vouchers and rationalizing others as shown.
BSNL New Prepaid Recharge Plan Offerings
The newly introduced STV-345 offers unlimited voice calls (local, STD, and roaming including Mumbai and Delhi), unlimited data with speed reduced to 40 kbps after 1GB/day, and 100 SMS/day. This BSNL recharge plan comes with a validity of 60 calendar days.
BSNL Plan Voucher PV-897, another new addition, provides unlimited voice calls, unlimited data (speed reduced to 40 kbps after 2GB/day), 100 SMS/day, and free PRBT for 60 days. This plan offers an extended validity of 180 calendar days.

Rationalized Plans
BSNL has also rationalized two existing plans with effect from 20th October 2024
- STV-187: Now offers unlimited voice calls, unlimited data (speed reduced to 40 kbps after 1.5GB/day), 100 SMS/day, and additional services like Challenges Arena Mobile Gaming, Hardy Games, and BSNL Tunes for 28 days
- STV-485: Provides unlimited voice calls, unlimited data (speed reduced to 40 kbps after 2GB/day), and 100 SMS/day for 80 days.
To help customers manage their new plans effectively, BSNL recommends users to verify their BSNL number through various methods before making any recharge to ensure smooth transition to the new tariff structure.
Withdrawn Plans
Several existing plans will be withdrawn from October 20, 2024, including the popular BSNL 666 plan which offered 105 days validity.
- STVs: 184, 185, 186, 298, and 399
- PVs: 666, 699, and 999
BSNL has instructed its nodal centers and circles to send daily SMS to existing customers of withdrawn plans, encouraging them to switch to the new or rationalized plans.
